Our own Betsy DeSantis in Parade Spectacular!!

SEE Stamford’s Teacher of the Year, Betsy DeSantis in the
November STAMFORD PARADE SPECTACULAR


The Stamford Public Schools will be a prominent participant in the Advocate Parade Spectacular on Sunday, November 20th at 12 noon in downtown Stamford. Hundreds of students will be involved in ten marching bands, two drill teams, an ROTC unit, and a special float featuring Stamford’s Teacher of the Year, Betsy DeSantis .

The theme for the float is "Flat Stanley Travels the World"! Mrs. DeSantis and ehr students have read Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown. It is the story of a young boy who is flattened by a bulletin board and becomes only 1/2 onch thick. He has many adventures including being amiled to Californis. Mrs. DeSantis' class created their own Flat Stanleys and mailed him to friends and relatives all over the world. They are waiting for Stanley to return to Stark with tales of adventure!

Mrs DeSantis is a first grade teacher at Stark Elementary Schoolas well as a former student of Stark. She hasbeen an educator in the Stamford Public Schools for 10 years, Mrs. DeSantis' entire class will accompany her on the float. Hope to see you there!!
