Stark Elementary Families,
WELCOME! to the 2023-24 school year! I am thrilled to be welcoming your children back to school on August 30, 2023.

Community is the genuine care and compassion shared between staff, students, and families. Stark Elementary is a place where staff and families come together to ensure that the children entrusted into our care grow to be productive, confident, compassionate, members of a global society. I look forward to an amazing year!

On behalf of the Stark Staff, I’d like to extend a warm WELCOME to our new families and a WELCOME BACK to those of you who are returning. I hope that your summer was filled with fun and relaxation and that you were able to make a lot of wonderful memories with family and friends. It’s hard to believe school is starting again in just a few short weeks, but, here we are, ready for a great year!

I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our students can achieve their highest potential. Our dedicated teachers understand that part of our student’s success relies heavily on the support offered both at school and at home and a strong partnership with you will make a difference in your child’s education. I am certain that our common responsibility for our student’s success will provide positive outcomes as the year progresses no matter what challenges may arise. Our motto of “WeAreStarkStrong” will continue to guide our mission in developing the mind, body, and heart of every child while fostering a lifetime love of learning and growing.

If you have not done so, please review the 2023-24 School Year Handbook that will be located on our website. In this handbook, you will find useful information that can help us move forward in the new school year. Additionally, please consider becoming involved in our parent community by joining our PFO, Volunteering in a classroom, helping with school events, or becoming a member of our School Governance Council (SGC) which helps guide decisions made here at Stark School. We are always open to finding ways to continue to involve parents/guardians to help create engaging learning environments that will promote success and positive memories in our children.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together as a school community inspiring our students to strive for and achieve all their goals. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our district website for updates and information. https://www.starkschool.org

Sincerely,
Jennifer DeRubeis
