Dr. Lisa Armstrong - Principal

Dr. Lisa Armstrong

Dr. Lisa Armstrong has had a long and varied career in the Stamford Public Schools District. Starting as a literacy support specialist at Roxbury Elementary School in 2001, she dedicated eight years to the role before becoming an Elementary Literacy Coach at Newfield Elementary School. Her expertise led her to the SPS Central Office in 2014, where she served as the Curriculum Associate for Elementary Literacy. Dr. Armstrong then transitioned into administration, taking on the role of Coordinator of Talent Acquisition and Development for two separate periods. Her focus shifted back to a school-based position as a teacher leader for Student Support at Julia A. Stark Elementary in 2020, and she returned to the school as an assistant principal in 2023. This extensive career is built on a strong educational foundation, which includes a Bachelor's in Marketing, a Master's in Elementary Education, a Sixth Year Certificate in Remedial Reading, and a PhD in Educational Leadership. Her professional certifications cover K-6 Elementary Education, Grade 1-12 Remedial Reading, and K-12 Intermediate Administration or Supervision.  

 

Larissa Weir - Interim Assistant Principal

Larissa Weir began her teaching career as a Middle School Science Teacher at Roberto Clemente Leadership Academy in New Haven, CT in 2011 as part of the Teach for America Corps Program. She joined John S. Martinez Sea & Sky STEM Magnet School in New Haven as a Magnet Resource Teacher in 2017 and served as the school’s Math Coach for the 2020-21 school year. She joined Stamford Public Schools as the Teacher Leader for Student Support at Westover Magnet Elementary School in 2021 and was most recently the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Coach at Westover in 2024-25. Weir earned a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and Gerontology from Miami University (OH) and both a Master of Science in Teacher Leadership and a Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Leadership from Quinnipiac University. She is certified in Grade 4-12 General Science (CT 034) and K-12 Intermediate Administration or Supervision (CT 092).
