State of CT Guidelines for Excused and Unexcused Absences

The attendance rate is of vital importance to our school. When a student is absent more than 10% of the school year, s/he is considered chronically absent by the state of CT. Other than a long term medical leave, you are chronically absent regardless of the type of absence (excused or unexcused). For example, if a student goes on a trip to visit family, those absences contribute towards the 10%.
